Job summary

Leoforce in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Roadway Design Engineer (Mid Level) to design and manage roadway projects including intersections, streets, expressways, interchanges and interstates. You will develop project scopes, budgets, schedules and interface with clients while supporting the Project Manager.

You will mentor junior staff and designers, ensuring adherence to NCDOT guidelines and FHWA manuals. This role offers a collaborative, employee-owned environment with flexible remote options and

• Roadway design experience with NCDOT Highway Design Guidelines.
• Familiarity with FHWA Roadway Design Manual.
• CAD criteria knowledge for plans development.

Job Details

• Design and assist in managing roadway projects including intersections, collector streets, urban arterials, rural and urban expressways, interstates, and interstate interchanges
• Assist in developing project scopes, budgets, project plans, and maintaining project schedules
• Interface with clients and support the Project Manager in maintaining client relationships
• Mentor and develop junior staff and design/drafters

Requirements

• Roadway design experience with working knowledge of NCDOT Guidelines for Highway Design and the FHWA Roadway Design Manual
• Familiarity with NCDOT design and CAD criteria and experience applying them in plans development
