We are looking for a talented CAD technician to join our team in Evansville. The ideal candidate for this role will be a skilled CAD technician with experience working with Civil 3D and/or MicroStation. Our transportation design team offers a variety of services, but most of our work involves roadway, highway, and bridge design for various local public agencies and the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT).

In this position, the candidate will:

• Produce basic and detailed drawings and plans using Civil 3D and/or MicroStation.
• Work with engineers and other designers to incorporate design changes and revisions.
• Organize files and project documentation.
• Read and interpret construction plans.
• Assist in preparing quantity takeoffs and materials lists.
• Apply a variety of specification regulations, policies and standards to assure compliance with various Federal, State and local rules and regulations.

Qualifications for this role:

• Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Drafting and Design Technology, or a related field preferred. Equivalent knowledge and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
• 3+ years of relevant experience working with Civil 3D and/or MicroStation; Experience working as a CAD Technician in Roadway/Highway design is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with Civil 3D and/or MicroStation.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Basic working knowledge of construction practices and materials.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and Adobe/Bluebeam PDF Software.
