Job summary

GAI Consultants Inc. is seeking Technical Assistants to support transportation projects across Western Pennsylvania. You will assist Transportation Construction Inspectors with on-site inspections, review plans, and help prepare daily reports and progress records.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Some college or BS in civil engineering or construction management preferred.
• Previous construction experience preferred.
• Must possess valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist Transportation Construction Inspectors with daily on-site inspections.
• Ensure compliance with contract documents and applicable state and local codes by the contractor.
• Consult with contractors, consultants, engineers, job superintendents, and others on plans, specifications, materials, equipment and methods.
• Prepare and maintain daily inspection progress reports, photographs, discrepancies and corrective actions.
• Attend site meetings and communicate effectively.
