C.W. Matthews Contracting Co., Inc. in Atlanta, GA is seeking an experienced Concrete Paving Operator to support our highway and heavy civil projects.

You will safely operate paving equipment, assist with placement, leveling, finishing and curing of concrete, and work as part of a dedicated paving crew. Qualifications

• Experience in concrete paving or heavy highway construction.
• Ability to operate paving equipment safely around traffic.
• Willing to work days, nights, weekends and travel to job sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate concrete paving equipment, including pavers and placers/spreaders.
• Assist with placement, spreading, leveling, finishing, texturing and curing of concrete.
• Set up, inspect, and clean paving equipment before, during, and after paving operations.
• Monitor paving operations to maintain grade, alignment, depth, and finish.
• Work with foremen, crew, truck drivers and other operators.
