Job summary

KLJ is seeking a civil engineer to support project teams in remediation, permitting, improvement, and construction of infrastructure across public and private sectors. The role involves data gathering, analysis, and documentation for design and construction work, with emphasis on safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and FE exam completion, with 1–3+ years of post-education experience and strong writing and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or closely related field.
• FE exam completed or in process; knowledge of civil engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Assist with data collection and analysis from sites, surveys, blueprints, GIS data, and reports.
• Support design, permitting, and construction activities for infrastructure projects.
• Develop technical documents, sketches, calculations, and reports for project teams.
• Collaborate with engineers and planners across disciplines and agencies.
• Prepare work plans and coordinate field activities and permitting requirements.
