Job summary

Gfoat is seeking a crew member to participate in the manual labor involved in storm drainage and roadway system maintenance.

You will assist with patching potholes, asphalt, concrete, traffic signs, and setting up barricades, while following safety rules and using PPE.

A valid Texas driver's license and ability to pass a medical exam are required; a year of related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of related roadway construction/maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and the ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions.
• Good communication skills and calm demeanor with the public.

Responsibilities

• Assist with operation, maintenance, repair and construction of storm drainage and roadway systems.
• Patch potholes, lay asphalt, pour concrete and install traffic signs.
• Set up traffic barricades and perform traffic control.
• Prepare and disassemble work sites and maintain safety equipment.
• Operate trucks, backhoes, tractors, dozers, and other equipment.
