Job summary

Traffic Planning and Design, Inc. in New Jersey is hiring Construction Inspectors to grow knowledge on highway, roadway and bridge projects across NJ with agencies such as NJDOT, NJTA, SJTA, DRPA, DRJTBC, and local county and state agencies.

You will observe construction activities for compliance with plans, prepare reports and pay estimates, and coordinate with senior management to help meet project goals. The role requires a B.S.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering or at least 2 years of prior construction inspection experience (internships or employment) required.
• NICET certification at any level is a plus but not required.
• ACI, NJSAT, TCC, CCTC, and/or OSHA 10 a plus but not required.
• Willingness to work overtime, some nights, or weekends as needed.
• Ability to drive to project sites as needed.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Valid Driver's License

Responsibilities

• Observe construction activities to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
• Prepare daily reports, quantity measurements and computations. Assist with progress reports and Pay Estimates.
• Communicate with the Senior Management to assist with meeting the project goals.
