Job summary

Pennoni is seeking Construction Inspectors to perform field inspections on public improvement projects in New Jersey, including highway reconstruction and safety upgrades. The role requires outdoor work, strong communication skills, and the ability to coordinate with contractors and project stakeholders.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma and a valid driver’s license, plus proficiency in Microsoft Office and related field tools.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections on public improvement projects including roadwork and safety upgrades.
• Review construction plans, details, specifications, and contract documents.
• Coordinate efforts with contractors, engineers, owners, stakeholders, and the public.
• Perform calculations from field measurements for pay estimates.
• Update as-built records throughout project lifecycle.
• Observe operations for compliance with project documents and safety regulations.
• Communicate proactively with contractor and client to progress projects timely.
• Monitor contractor performance to ensure quality outcomes.
