Job summary

Egis is seeking a Construction Inspector to support the Florida CEI team, providing roadway and bridge inspections for FDOT and regional clients. You will ensure contract compliance, document inspections, and maintain project records as part of a collaborative delivery team.

This role emphasizes field accuracy, adherence to standards, and effective communication with contractors and agency representatives to sustain project quality and safety across North Florida.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2 years of construction inspection experience in roadway and/or bridge projects.
• EI certification with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document inspections on roadway and bridge projects to verify compliance with plans and specs.
• Conduct field testing activities and document results.
• Maintain project records and prepare inspection reports.
• Monitor contractor operations and flag potential quality or schedule issues.
• Collaborate with teams, agencies, and clients to support project delivery.
• Adhere to FDOT procedures and standards.
• Use construction management software to document activities and progress.
• Support CEI operations on FDOT and municipal projects in North Florida.
