Job summary

Midas - Detroit in Southfield, MI is seeking a professional tow truck operator to handle tow and roadside calls, load vehicles on flatbeds and wheel-lifts, and log each job in Towbook in real time with photos, times and notes.

Requirements include a valid Michigan chauffeur’s license with a clean driving record, ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and on-call shifts, and being able to lift 75+ lbs and work outside in any weather. Preferred towing experience, AAA Roadside.

Responsibilities

• Run tow and roadside calls sent by dispatch: tows, jump starts, lockouts, tire changes and fuel delivery
• Load and secure vehicles on flatbeds and wheel-lifts safely, without damage
• Log every call in Towbook in real time, with photos, times and notes
• Do pre-trip and post-trip truck inspections and report problems right away
• Be professional with stranded drivers, fleet customers and police
