Qualifications

• Candidate must reside near their assigned location to meet customer service time requirements.
• Ability to successfully pass DOT medical exam.
• Current and valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• This position requires the ability to bend, stoop, walk and stand for periods of time in all types of weather.
• CDL a plus, but not required.
• Willing to take a drug test and background check.
• Confident and capable to drive in inclement weather.
• Proficient in utilizing mobile and computer applications for completing administrative work.
• Proficient in paper-based administrative work.
• No prior experience necessary; training is provided.
• Heavy Equipment or Machine Operation skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to calls dispatched to you in a safe, timely manner and provide roadside assistance.
• Communicate with dispatch in a professional, informative manner to document status and ETA.
• Perform emergency road service duties such as changing tires, delivering fuel, and basic repairs.
• Perform lockout procedures for customers who have locked their keys in their car.
• Perform damage-free towing and scene cleanup.
• Jumpstart vehicles and assess battery condition where applicable.
• Daily inspect the truck for safety, organization and equipment; complete pre-shift inspections.
• Report damaged or missing tools or equipment immediately.
• Maintain safe driving behavior and comply with traffic laws; adhere to the 4-second rule.
• Keep the truck clean and manage fuel and fluid levels; secure the storage yard when leaving.
• Handle all other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
