Job summary

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in the United States is seeking a Roadside Technician for semi-truck fleets. You will be dispatched to customer locations to repair or change tires, often working roadside.

No prior experience is required as you will be trained on the required skills. An on-call rotation exists with after-hours work paid at double time, and responsibilities include shop help when not on calls, plus competitive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Serve Commercial Tires including dismounting, mounting, and repairing tires.
• Perform match mounting, match mating dual assemblies, and radial runout as necessary.
• Inflate tires to prescribed PSI per load requirements.
• Follow OSHA safety policies and wear PPE; assist in shop when no service calls pending.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 -$26.00

Base pay offered may vary depending on factors such-as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. The role of the Roadside Technician position in our company can be broken down into one sentence: “An emergency response tire technician for semi-truck fleets”. To elaborate a bit further; when a customer has a tire related failure, a Technician is dispatched to the customer's location to repair or change the tire. This means that a Technician is expected to be roadside when performing their job duties. During times when there are no service calls pending, Technicians will be expected to help mount orders, clean and organize the shop, and other general duties as needed.

Experience isn't required for this position. You will be trained in any skills required.

Shift Information:

There is a mandatory on-call rotation. During a Technicians' on-call period, they are expected to run after-hours service calls at a 95% Accept rate, which includes weekends and nights. Time worked in after-hours service calls are paid in double-time with a minimum of 2 hours per call!! An example being if a Technicians accepts, arrives, and completes a call in 45min they will receive an additional 1 hr. 15 min of double time*** pay.
