Role Overview: Roadside Technician

The Roadside Technician is responsible for responding to tire-related emergencies for semi-truck fleets. When a customer experiences a tire failure, the Technician is dispatched to repair or replace the tire at the customer's location, often roadside. When not responding to service calls, Technicians assist with mounting orders, cleaning, organizing the shop, and other duties as needed.

Experience is not required; training will be provided.

Shift Information

Technicians must participate in a mandatory on-call rotation, handling after-hours service calls at a 95% acceptance rate, including weekends and nights. After-hours calls are paid double time, with a minimum of 2 hours per call. For example, accepting and completing a 45-minute call earns an additional 1 hour and 15 minutes of double-time pay.

Basic Requirements

• Valid driver's license and meet commercial driver qualification requirements
• At least 21 years old

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous Commercial Service Tire Experience

Skills and Training

• Servicing commercial tires: dismounting, mounting, repairing
• Match mounting, dual assemblies, radial runout
• Inflating tires to prescribed PSI
• Following OSHA and safety policies, including PPE, tire cages, etc.
