Job summary

U.S. Xpress is seeking a Roadside Support Specialist at USX Headquarters. This role handles driver-reported maintenance issues, triages breakdowns, and coordinates safe, economical repairs while ensuring DOT and internal standards are met.

The position requires strong mechanical knowledge, effective communication, and experience in a fast-paced environment. Remote work is not available; typical hours are Monday–Friday with on-call support as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s degree in a technical or business field preferred.
• 1+ year call center or customer service experience required; 2+ years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive, document, and resolve driver-reported maintenance issues.
• Triage breakdowns to identify safe, efficient resolution.
• Assist drivers in all breakdown situations locally and OTR.
• Set up road calls and direct drivers to authorized repair facilities.
• Ensure DOT/FMCSA regulations and company procedures are followed.
