U.S. Xpress, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Operations Specialist to manage driver-reported issues, triage breakdowns, and coordinate repairs.

The role emphasizes safe, cost-effective decisions, adherence to DOT regulations, and accurate data entry across maintenance platforms. Ideal candidates will have strong mechanical knowledge, excellent communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment that supports OTR and local operations.

Qualifications

• Technical knowledge to assess equipment concerns, identify causes, and determine repair paths.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities for clear exchanges with drivers, vendors, and internal teams.
• Ability to balance multiple active cases in a fast-paced maintenance environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive, document, and resolve driver-reported maintenance issues.
• Triage breakdowns to identify safe, efficient resolutions.
• Coordinate road calls and direct drivers to repair facilities.
• Ensure DOT/FMCSA regulations and internal procedures are followed.
• Maintain thorough documentation in company systems.
• Collaborate with Parts, Warranty, and leadership as needed.
• Attend trainings and provide feedback for performance improvement.
