MoDOT is seeking a maintenance worker to perform routine, entry-level duties maintaining state roadways and facilities in Kansas City, MO. The role includes operating vehicles, mowing, weed control, and traffic control under supervision.

Opportunities exist for career ladder progression based on skill and experience. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and pass CDL-related tests within 60 days.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED/HiSET required.
• Valid Driver's License required; CDL tanker endorsement within 60 days after hire.
• Completion of work simulation examination and a medical-physical examination.
• Herbicide, Conservation and Pesticide Experience preferred.
• Chainsaw and other small outdoor equipment experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain state highway right of way, medians, and shoulder areas.
• Operate vehicles to transport personnel, equipment, and materials; assist with snow and ice control.
• Assist with vegetation management, weed control, and debris removal.
• Assist with inventorying, mixing, loading and delivering pesticides as needed.
• Support Monarch CCAA plantings and habitat restoration efforts.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned.
