Job summary

Pomp's Tire Service, Inc. is seeking a Roadside Commercial Tire Technician to join our team. This role performs repair, inspection, and maintenance of commercial tires in outdoor roadside environments.

You’ll respond to calls, mount/dismount tires on the road, and inspect for additional issues while maintaining safety and efficiency. Night shifts, overtime, and non-standard hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience with roadside tire service or field tire maintenance is preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be able to pass pre-employment screening.
• Strong mechanical skills and ability to work in varying weather conditions.
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship on commercial tires.

Responsibilities

• Respond to roadside service calls to change and replace tires on commercial vehicles.
• Mount, dismount, and replace tires efficiently while on the road.
• Inspect tires and vehicles to identify additional issues and safety concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized toolbox and properly care for equipment.
• Work independently in all weather conditions to deliver reliable roadside service.
• Perform additional tasks to support team operations as needed.

What You’ll Do:

• Respond promptly to roadside service calls to change and replace tires on commercial vehicles
• Perform tire mounting, dismounting, and replacements efficiently while on the road
• Conduct thorough inspections of tires and vehicles to identify any additional issues
• Ensure a clean and organized work environment, including proper maintenance of tools and equipment
• Work independently in all weather conditions to provide reliable roadside tire service
• Complete additional tasks as assigned to support team operations

What You Need:

• Valid Driver’s License and ability to pass pre-employment driver’s screening
• Willingness to work night shifts, overtime, and non-standard hours with minimal supervision
• Preferred experience with commercial vehicles and general mechanical skills
• Ability to safely change and repair commercial tires on the road in various weather conditions
• Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 50 pounds regularly, and up to 150 pounds occasionally
