Job summary

Pomp's Tire Service is seeking a Roadside Commercial Tire Technician to join our team. This outdoor role focuses on repair, inspection, and maintenance of commercial tires while responding to roadside service calls.

You will perform tire mounting, dismounting, and replacements on commercial vehicles, conduct tire/vehicle inspections, and ensure tools and workspace are well-maintained. Night shifts and overtime may be required to keep vehicles rolling.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License required and pre-employment screening may apply.
• Experience with roadside tire service and tire mounting/dismounting is preferred.
• Willingness to work night shifts, overtime, and non-standard hours.

Responsibilities

• Respond to roadside service calls to change and replace tires on commercial vehicles.
• Perform tire mounting, dismounting, and replacements on the road.
• Conduct inspections of tires and vehicles to identify additional issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment and proper tool upkeep.
• Work independently in various weather conditions to provide reliable roadside tire service.
• Support team operations with additional tasks as needed.

What You'll Do:

• Respond promptly to roadside service calls to change and replace tires on commercial vehicles
• Perform tire mounting, dismounting, and replacements efficiently while on the road
• Conduct thorough inspections of tires and vehicles to identify any additional issues
• Ensure a clean and organized work environment, including proper maintenance of tools and equipment
• Work independently in all weather conditions to provide reliable roadside tire service
• Complete additional tasks as assigned to support team operations

What You Need:

• Valid Driver's License and ability to pass pre-employment driver's screening
• Willingness to work night shifts, overtime, and non-standard hours with minimal supervision
• Preferred experience with commercial vehicles and general mechanical skills
• Ability to safely change and repair commercial tires on the road in various weather conditions
• Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 50 pounds regularly, and up to 150 pounds occasionally
