Job summary

Pomp's Tire Service, Inc. is seeking a Roadside Commercial Tire Technician to service commercial fleets across diverse weather conditions.

You will respond to roadside calls, mount and dismount tires, inspect tires and wheels, and perform on‑the‑spot repairs to keep trucks rolling safely. This on‑the‑road role requires a valid driver's license, ability to work night shifts and overtime, and a practical mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and pass pre-employment screening.
• Experience with commercial vehicles and general mechanical skills preferred.
• Able to safely change and repair commercial tires on the road in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Respond to roadside service calls to change and replace tires on commercial vehicles.
• Mount, dismount, and replace tires efficiently while on the road.
• Conduct tire and vehicle inspections to identify issues and ensure safety.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment and proper tool maintenance.
• Work independently in outdoor conditions with minimal supervision.

What You'll Do

• Respond promptly to roadside service calls to change and replace tires on commercial vehicles
• Perform tire mounting, dismounting, and replacements efficiently while on the road
• Conduct thorough inspections of tires and vehicles to identify any additional issuesEnsure a clean and organized work environment, including proper maintenance of tools and equipment
• Work independently in all weather conditions to provide reliable roadside tire service
• Complete additional tasks as assigned to support team operations

What You Need

• Valid Driver's License and ability to pass pre-employment driver's screening
• Willingness to work night shifts, overtime, and non-standard hours with minimal supervision
• Preferred experience with commercial vehicles and general mechanical skills
• Ability to safely change and repair commercial tires on the road in various weather conditions
• Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 50 pounds regularly, and up to 150 pounds occasionally
