Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field required.
• Five years of experience in road and bridge construction engineering activities.
• Three years of supervisory experience.
• Must be a registered professional engineer in the State of Michigan.
• Valid State of Michigan Operator License.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development and organization of project files per MDOT protocols.
• Perform internal plan reviews for capital improvement projects.
• Oversee bid processes and construction of capital improvement projects.
• Participate in budgeting of capital improvement projects.
• Direct staff engaged in control of project files and related duties.
• Coordinate with city departments and agencies to align programs.
• Represent department at conferences and meetings with other agencies.
• Provide public information through meetings and presentations.
• Support strategic planning and regulatory compliance across programs.
