Job summary

ALLO Communications, LLC in Lincoln, NE seeks Traveling Fiber Drop Technicians. You will install buried fiber drops, operate equipment, climb ladders, and report daily progress to your supervisor while traveling to different market locations.

This role offers higher compensation than entry level, with travel time and accommodations paid for and a weekly per diem. A high school diploma and willingness to travel are required; physical labor experience is preferred, and a valid driver’s license is

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of ALLO construction procedures.
• Ability to gain knowledge of fiber construction and material.
• Basic knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Word and Smartsheets.
• Ability to communicate with internal and external customers, contractors and company employees.
• Ability to travel outside of home office area for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Start your day knowing it probably won’t be typical and brand-new tasks not listed below are bound to come up.
• Select routes and place/bury drops for residential fiber plant.
• Operate equipment needed to install buried drops.
• Yard and landscaping restoration.
• Climbing a ladder will be required for aerial drop work.
• Document the construction of fiber plant and provide daily and weekly production reports to the Supervisor.
• Provide a safe work environment by being knowledgeable of and enforcing all safety regulations.
• Operate and monitor company-owned vehicle and equipment; maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to accept periodic assignments that involve travel away from immediate home office area.
