United Rentals is seeking a skilled Road Service Utility Truck Mechanic to join our fleet maintenance team. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel and gasoline vehicles and heavy equipment, including bucket trucks and utility vehicles.
The role requires travel to job sites, strong safety adherence, and accurate record-keeping. You will use diagnostic software and manuals to troubleshoot complex issues, perform preventive maintenance, and weld or fabricate as needed.
Competenze
- 5+ years of experience as a heavy‑duty diesel/truck mechanic.
- CDL with relevant endorsements required or to be obtained.
- Experience with buckets, hydraulic systems, and diesel equipment is a plus.
Mansioni
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel and gasoline vehicles and heavy equipment.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and braking systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance: oil changes, tires, lubrication.
- Use diagnostic software and manuals to identify malfunctions.
- Perform welding and fabrication as needed.
- Maintain service records and logs accurately.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures.
- Travel to project sites as required.
