Job description

JOB SUMMARY: We are looking for a road mechanic to join our growing team! The right candidate will have mechanical experience on cars, trucks, or forklifts. Forklift knowledge is a definite plus! After a training period, the applicant will be provided with a service van to visit customer locations to fix forklifts, pallet jacks, etc. We also provide a gas card, cell phone, and tablet for work-related travel and calls. The technician will be able to go directly from home to the first customer job, without necessarily reporting to our main office daily. Experience with technology is a plus, as all hours and job-related tasks will be logged through a tablet. Responsibilities

• Mobile field repairs
• Efficient equipment maintenance according to industry and company standards
• Complete required documentation, including work orders
• Keep job site/work area neat, clean, and organized
• Observe and comply with all company policies and safety standards
• Complete any other assigned tasks to support the effective operation of the service & repair department

Qualifications

• At least one year of mechanical experience
• A dedicated team player with a strong sense of customer service
• Self-motivated and professional
• Own tools (employer offers a tool allowance for some new tools)
• Valid driver’s license
