Job summary

Inland Truck Parts & Service seeks a road mechanic to join our family-owned forklift business. After a training period, a service van is provided to visit customer locations and repair forklifts, pallet jacks, and related equipment. Experience with technology and tablets for logging tasks is a plus.

• At least one year of mechanical experience.
• Own a basic set of tools; employer may assist with new tool expenses.

Responsibilities

• Perform mobile field repairs at customer sites.
• Maintain equipment per industry and company standards.
• Complete required documentation and work-orders.
• Keep work area neat, clean, and organized.
• Observe and comply with all company policies and safety standards.
• Support service & repair department operations.
• Ensure work is safe for employees, customers, and the environment.

JOB SUMMARY: We are looking for a road mechanic to join our family owned forklift business! The right candidate will have mechanical experience on cars, trucks or forklifts. Forklift knowledge a definite plus! After a training period, applicant would be provided with a service van to go to our customer locations in order fix their forklifts, pallet jacks, etc. Experience with technology is a plus, as all hours and job related tasks will be logged through a tablet. Excellent pay and benefits!

Responsibilities

• Mobile field repairs
• Efficient equipment maintenance according to industry and company standards
• Complete any required documentation, including work-orders
• Keep job site/work area neat, clean, and organized
• Observe and comply with all company policies and safety standards
• Complete any other assigned tasks ton contribute to effective operation of the service & repair department
• Ensure work is being conducted safely for the employees, the customers, the public and our environment

Qualifications

• At least one year of mechanical experience
• Teammate with a strong sense of dedication to the customer and service team
• Self-motivated and professional
• Possess own tools (employer willing to help out with some new tool expenses through tool allowance)
• Possess a valid drivers license
