Job summary

Perry Industrial in Utah is seeking an experienced Forklift Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain electric, propane, and diesel forklifts and related equipment. You will join a service team delivering reliable field service with strong customer interaction.

The role requires handling multiple repair tasks, interpreting schematics, performing preventative maintenance, and adhering to safety procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a mechanic.
• At least 1 year of forklift repair experience preferred.
• Diesel engine repair experience is a bonus.
• Experience on electric, LP gas, gasoline and diesel forklifts is a plus.
• Knowledge of shop equipment and diagnostic tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Repair material handling equipment (forklifts, scissor lifts, tuggers, floor scrubbers, dock levelers, and dock plates).
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and engine problems.
• Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Use diagnostic tools to test lift or equipment components.
• Complete work orders accurately and maintain repair records.
• Perform quality inspections prior to returning equipment to the customer.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Follow OSHA regulations and company safety procedures.
• Communicate repair recommendations and equipment status with customers and service advisors.
• Respond to field service calls when required.

The ideal candidate will have experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electric, propane, and diesel forklifts as well as other material handling equipment. • Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
• OEM certifications (Toyota, Hyster, Yale, Crown, Raymond, etc.) are a plus but not required

Schedule:

• Full-time
• Monday through Friday
• Occasional overtime and on-call work may be required
