Role Overview

As a Gas Utility Laborer, you'll receive 1-4 weeks of paid training, working under an experienced Foreman alongside skilled Equipment Operators and Pipe fitters. This role offers the chance to develop specialized skills in excavating, trenching, shoring, and more.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Driver's License
• Prior experience operating a concrete road saw
• Knowledge of cutting specifications and materials
• High School diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

1. Operate concrete road saw ahead of excavation crew
2. Set up saw machine and make adjustments for each job
3. Operate walk-behind machine, monitoring for issues
4. Use measurement tools for accuracy
5. Load and unload equipment and materials
6. Maintain a clean and safe worksite
7. Perform maintenance on vehicles and equipment
8. Maintain all required Operator Qualifications
9. Perform tasks as directed by leadership

Work Environment & Legal Info

Work outdoors in potentially extreme weather, with safety instructions in English. Tasks include lifting, standing, climbing, and working near heavy equipment. Must pass drug screens, background checks, and medical evaluations. Union membership required.
