Joseph Saw Operator - Laborer (Nightshift)

Job Summary

To work within a team to produce door and window products that meet VEKA standards, ensuring quality and customer satisfaction.

Primary Duties

• Consult with lead person/supervision on daily objectives and how to meet them.
• Operate all equipment components associated with the fabrication department safely and confidently.
• Identify profiles for windows and doors and measure processed parts accurately.
• Use required hand tools safely.
• Move between lines and perform assigned tasks flexibly.
• Load and unload profiles from Joseph saw for packaging.
• Follow safety guidelines for equipment and tools.
• Report quality issues to supervision.
• Maintain cleanliness of work station and shop area.
• Set up and start up production efficiently.
• Maintain overall housekeeping and assist the Lead Tech and Supervisor as needed.
• Assist Material Handler with banding and sealing racks when necessary.

Secondary Duties

Perform all packer duties, use good judgment, communicate effectively, work under pressure, demonstrate mechanical ability, and be flexible and timely.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Mechanical aptitude, oral communication, accuracy, ability to read tape measures, and obtain/maintain forklift license.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma; no prior experience required.
