Job summary

Transdev North America in Columbus, Ohio, is seeking a Road Supervisor to oversee routes, ensure safety, and maintain on-time operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, supervisory experience with hourly staff, and a valid license. You will coordinate daily driver schedules, conduct safety investigations, and deliver training programs to keep compliance high.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver’s License with 3+ years MV history.
• Supervisory experience with hourly employees; transit supervisory exp preferred.
• Computer literate; basic knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Flexible schedule including weekends/holidays; on-call availability.
• Background screening including DOT drug testing and DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Communicate job requirements to drivers.
• Day-to-day scheduling, coaching, and submitting evaluation reports to local management.
• Conduct on-the-scene accident investigations; assist drivers with reports and safety documents.
• Develop and host driver training and safety courses; train new and retrain drivers.
• Observe drivers on the road; correct safety issues and document violations.
• Liaise between drivers, customers, and the organization on safety concerns.
• Evaluate driver safety and performance per policies.
• Assist Safety Manager with DOT/FTA compliance and recordkeeping.
• Drive routes periodically.
• Other duties as required.
