Job summary

Kooner Fleet Management Solutions is seeking a Mobile Diesel Mechanic/Technician to service Class 6-8 trucks and trailers at customer yards. You’ll diagnose, perform preventative maintenance, and provide on-site repair in a field-based role with a company-provided service truck.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of hands-on diesel tech experience on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers.
• DOT inspection and air brake repair expertise for safe fleets.
• Strong communication with customers and drivers.
• Comfort using mobile apps and digital tools to document repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite preventative maintenance and DOT inspections on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers.
• Handle emergency road service calls with urgency and care.
• Respond to dispatch requests for scheduled and unscheduled service.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and air systems.
• Use handheld devices and diagnostic tools to identify issues quickly.
• Work with hand and power tools, and welding equipment when needed.
• Road test vehicles to ensure repairs meet standards.
• Stay productive and meet industry-standard repair times.
• Source parts with vendors to keep operations moving.
