Job summary
Grand Traverse County Road Commission in Traverse City, MI, is seeking an Engineer to join our engineering team. The project engineer will assist in all phases of project delivery, from design through closeout, and enjoys field work on job sites with contractors.
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, has road design/construction experience, and can obtain a Michigan PE license within one year of hire. Travel is limited to within the county.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
- Experience in road design and road construction is preferred.
- Must obtain Michigan PE license within 1 year of hire or already possess one.
Responsibilities
- Assist in all phases of project delivery, including design, bidding, construction, and closeout.
- Work on job sites with contractors and crew.
- Travel limited to within Grand Traverse County.
