Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Road Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a variety of equipment at customer sites. The role involves diagnosing complex issues, working in remote locations, and contributing to uptime with a strong safety focus.

Responsibilities include servicing diesel and hydraulic systems, electrical troubleshooting, and using appropriate tools. A valid driver's license is required, with CDL possible in some locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 1-2 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment, or specialty lines equipment preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record (21 years old; CDL may be required in some locations).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and diagnose/repair equipment at customer locations.
• Work on a variety of makes, models and equipment in challenging remote locations.
• Operate in a safety-focused environment to minimize downtime.
