Road Mechanic

Sunbelt Rentals, the fastest growing rental business in North America, is seeking a Road Mechanic. This role performs preventive maintenance, diagnoses, and makes advanced repairs at the customer's location to avoid downtime. Our fleet varies by location but primarily includes Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools, and equipment. Specialty lines locations may have large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas related equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade school or equivalent training preferred
• 1-2 years of mechanic experience with diesel or heavy construction equipment, or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC, or Oil & Gas) preferred
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record (CDL may be required in some locations)

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• May need to provide mechanic’s tools of trade
• Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Bilingual abilities may be required based on location

Physical Demands

Involve bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50+ pounds, and working indoors/outdoors as required. Reasonable accommodations can be made to comply with laws.
