Job summary

Carroll County Government is seeking a Road Maintenance Worker to ensure safe and clear roadways. You will perform traffic control, operate power tools, and assist with vehicle maintenance under a Foreman’s direction.

The role requires safety awareness and the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions, with occasional overtime. A valid driver's license and DOT medical card are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Up to one year of related experience may be substituted.
• Comparable education/experience may substitute minimum requirement.

Responsibilities

• Perform traffic control duties including flagging and setup of traffic control devices.
• Operate power tools and small equipment; assist in maintaining equipment and tools.
• Perform digging, cleaning ditches and drains, shoveling, spreading materials, debris removal, sweeping streets, and mowing.
