Requires a High School Diploma or GED, at least two years’ related experience, and a valid Driver’s License; within months a Class A CDL must be obtained.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Two (2) years of road construction/maintenance experience or landfill operations.
• Valid Driver’s License; CDL testing must be completed within 3 months.
• Arizona Class A CDL must be obtained by the end of nine months.
• Probationary period tied to CDL acquisition; subject to drug/alcohol testing.

Responsabilités

• Operates heavy road construction and landfill equipment following safety regulations.
• Grades, patches, and repairs roads; maintains ditches and culverts.
• Coordinates inmate work detail for department operations.
• Performs manual labor tasks including fire control and debris removal.
• Controls traffic at work zones and landfill; provides emergency road services.
• Hauls materials and inspects equipment; reports repairs as needed.
• Performs routine safety and equipment inspections; maintains records.
• Interacts with the public and internal staff; trains colleagues as needed.
