Job summary

Washington County in Arkansas is seeking an Operator I to support the Road Department’s work on county roads, operating dump trucks, loaders and graders. The role involves ongoing labor tasks, material handling, and teamwork to maintain infrastructure.

Responsibilities include inventory maintenance, radio communications support, and keeping shop tools and equipment in good working order. Applicants must pass background checks and drug testing as required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a criminal background check
• Must pass pre-employment drug test and health verification
• Pre-employment and random drug testing may be required

Responsibilities

• Perform labor tasks in construction, improvement, and maintenance of county roads
• Operate road department equipment including dump trucks, loaders and graders
• Procure and maintain parts inventory
• Assist with two-way radio communications
• Maintain the physical condition of the shop building and tools/equipment
