Job summary

American Structurepoint’s Road Group in Akron, OH invites Civil Engineering students to join as a summer intern. You will aid roadway design, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates under experienced mentors.

Most work occurs in the office with occasional site visits, offering hands-on experience on large interstate and urban projects while building design documentation and 3D modeling skills.

Qualifications

• Current student pursuing Civil Engineering or related program with a focus on civil engineering.
• Proactive and eager to learn in a team environment.
• Demonstrates strong work ethic and collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to roadway design calculations, layouts, drainage analysis, plan production, and quantity/cost estimates.
• Gain hands-on experience with 3D modeling and tools like MicroStation/GEOPAK, Bluebeam, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Work on diverse projects from interstates to urban streets and rural roads; assist with design and documentation.
• Participate in other duties as assigned.
