Job summary

C.W. Roberts Contracting, Inc. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to support local road construction projects in Florida. You will operate motor graders, bulldozers, backhoes, loaders and excavators, and perform related earthmoving tasks.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience, a valid Florida driver’s license, and can work days, nights, or weekends. Drug screening and background checks are required, with safety training and pre-shift inspections part of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience operating power construction equipment such as motor-graders, milling machines, bulldozers, backhoes or track hoes, rollers, and excavators.
• Ability to perform pre-shift inspections and routine maintenance.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate several types of power construction equipment including motor-graders, milling machines, bulldozers, backhoes or track hoes, rollers, and excavators.
• Load and move dirt, rocks, equipment, or materials using trucks, cranes, shovels, or related equipment.
• Spread, level, mill, or lay stone, concrete, or asphalt on road beds or other sites.
• Inspect, clean, maintain and repair equipment; conduct pre-shift inspections.
• Avoid hazards and obstructions such as utility lines and other workers.
• Follow safe practices and perform other duties as assigned.
