Job summary

CRH APAC-AL is seeking a skilled technician to repair and maintain road construction equipment including trucks, paving machines, and related machinery in Alabama. The role involves inspecting, disassembling, repairing, and testing equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation.

Responsibilities include welding, part replacement, lubrication, and ensuring adherence to safety standards. The position requires the ability to read instructions and perform basic arithmetic as part of maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic (add/subtract/multiply/divide) in all units of measure.

Responsibilities

• Operates and inspects machines or equipment to diagnose defects.
• Dismantles devices to access and remove defective parts with hoists and hand tools.
• Examines parts' form and texture to detect imperfections.
• Inspects used parts to determine dimensional changes.
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
• Repairs or replaces defective parts.
• Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
• Lubricates and cleans parts.
• Starts devices to test performance.
• Welds broken parts and structural members.
