APAC Alabama, Inc. in Mobile, AL is seeking a Shop Mechanic/Welder to maintain and repair road construction equipment and related machinery. You will perform diagnostics, disassembly, assembly, and welding to keep trucks, paving machines, and equipment in top condition.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operates and inspects machines to diagnose defects.
• Dismantles devices to access defective parts with hand tools.
• Examines parts for imperfections and checks dimensions.
• Inspects used parts for changes in dimensional requirements.
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
• Repairs or replaces defective parts as needed.
• Installs functional and structural parts in devices.
• Lubricates and cleans parts and components.
• Welds broken parts and structural members.
