Job summary

Dallas County seeks an experienced road construction equipment operator to operate heavy and light trucks and allied machinery in a safe, efficient manner. You will maintain daily operation reports and support patching and bridge crews.

A high school diploma or GED is required along with a valid Texas Class A or B driver’s license and a good driving record; mandatory drug testing will apply.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited high school/GED Program.
• One year of work-related experience in operating heavy equipment.
• Must have a valid Class A or B Texas Driver’s License with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Operates construction vehicles, equipment, and trucks in a safe and skillful manner.
• Assists patching and bridge crews.
• Completes daily activity and operating reports.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
