Job summary

Harris County Precinct 4 is seeking a motivated Operator to join the Road & Bridge team in Tomball, TX. You will maintain roadways and bridges, perform pothole repair, debris cleanup, and emergency response duties in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, at least 6 months experience, and a CDL to be obtained within 3 months of hire. Regular hours are 40 per week, with possible weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• At least 6 months of related experience or training as an operator or in a related role.
• CDL is required; candidates must obtain a CDL within 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain roadways and drainage including reconstruction, tree trimming, debris removal, pothole repair, sign installation, ditching.
• Operate light and heavy construction equipment and various trucks and power tools.
• Perform daily maintenance incl. pre/post trip inspections, fluid checks, report repairs, and clean facilities.
