Job summary

Archaea Energy, a bp company, is seeking an Operations Technician for the Wasatch RNG Plant in North Skull Valley, UT. You will operate and maintain a landfill gas to High BTU processing facility, handling gas treatment steps and instrumentation.

The role requires 1–3 years of relevant operations experience, knowledge of process control systems, and the ability to read schematics. A valid driver’s license and DOT drug test pass are required, with 25%–50% travel expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years in landfill gas processing, chemical plant operations, industrial gas operations, or power plant operations.
• Understanding of process control systems applied to landfill gas collection and processing.
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the landfill gas to High BTU processing facility.
• Perform preventive maintenance on plant instrumentation and equipment.
• Inspect and record operating data; adjust as needed to maintain SOP compliance.
• Review daily operating reports and control plant equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and replace faulty components.
• Maintain daily operation logs and assist in outage planning.
• Assist in ordering and procuring parts; travel 25%–50%.
• Ensure safe, compliant operation per safety and environmental standards.
