Job summary

CARIN Alliance seeks an experienced RNFA to provide intra-operative nursing care and surgical assistance in a dynamic operating room team. You will participate in regional on-call rotations for elective, urgent, and emergent cases, collaborating closely with surgeons and healthcare staff.

The role requires RN licensure, AORN RNFA certification, and BLS, with preference for CRNFA and ACLS. Strong sterile technique and teamwork are essential to ensure patient safety and high-quality perioperative

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years peri-operative scrubbing and circulating experience or 1 year as RNFA.
• Completion of an AORN-recognized RNFA program and certification.
• Valid RN license, Nurse Operating Room certification, and BLS certification.
• Ability to perform intra-operative skills, maintain sterile technique, and work effectively within a team.
• Preferred: 2+ years RNFA experience, CRNFA certification, and ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs pre-operative assessments, collaborates on care plans, and evaluates patients post-operatively.
• Provides technical assistance during surgery, including handling instruments, tissue, maintaining hemostasis, suturing, and ensuring sterile techniques according to standards and protocols.
• Assists with room preparation, patient positioning, anesthesia support, and intra-operative procedures such as draping and equipment setup.
• Supports patient transport, transfer, and post-op care, including dressing application and drainage management.
• Maintains communication and documentation to ensure continuity and safety of care.
