Job summary

Kaiser Permanente Northwest Surgical Services in Oregon is seeking an experienced RNFA to assist in the intra-operative phase of surgical care. You will collaborate with the surgeon and health care team to perform advanced nursing duties, including exposure, instrument handling, hemostasis, and suturing, with post-operative evaluation.

A regional on-call rotation is required. Must have AORN RNFA certification and an active RN license; CNOR and continuing education are preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires RNFA certification and perioperative nursing experience.
• Must meet AORN RNFA education standards.
• Active RN license and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon intra-operatively with exposure, instrument handling and hemostasis.
• Perform RNFA duties in accordance with state regulations and facility protocols.
• Participate in pre-op briefing, patient positioning, and post-op evaluation.
