Job summary

Health Wealth Safe is seeking an experienced RNFA to provide intra-operative support in ambulatory surgery centers. You will collaborate with surgeons and the surgical team to ensure smooth procedures and patient safety.

Responsibilities include pre-operative planning, instrument handling, tissue manipulation, hemostasis, suturing, room setup, draping, and post-operative care. Valid RN license in Oregon with BLS/ACLS is required; AORN RNFA standards apply.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of intra-operative scrubbing and circulating experience.
  • RNFA certification or equivalent, with successful completion of a recognized RNFA course.
  • Valid RN license in Oregon, with BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Meeting RNFA qualifications per AORN standards.
  • Preferred: 2-5 years RNFA practice, CRNFA certification, and ability to assist in all surgical cases.

Responsibilities

  • Performing pre-operative assessments and planning care in coordination with the surgical team.
  • Providing technical assistance during surgery, including handling instruments, tissue manipulation, hemostasis, suturing, and assisting with surgical exposure.
  • Supporting post-operative care such as applying splints, aiding in patient transfers, and assisting with room turnover.
  • Communicating effectively for continuity of care, maintaining sterile techniques, and ensuring a safe environment.
  • Executing RNFA duties across surgical specialties, assisting with room setup, patient preparation, draping, instrumentation, and equipment management.
  • Monitoring sterile fields, assisting with patient positioning, and supporting post-op procedures.
