Job Title:RNA Lab Technician

Responsibilities:



  • Perform hands-on laboratory work, dedicating approximately 80% of your time to:
  • Nucleic acid synthesis (in vitro transcription),downstream purification, and encapsulation
  • Execute molecular biology techniques, including but not limited to:
  • Gel electrophoresis (agarose, PAGE)
  • Capillary electrophoresis
  • Nanopore sequencing.
  • Downstream purification via HPLC.
  • Perform basic microbiology techniques such as
  • Sterile culturing techniques
  • Troubleshoot and optimize protocols for nucleic acid production and analysis.
  • Bioburden testing
  • Bacterial transformation and plasmid purification
  • Support the smooth day-to-day operations of the lab, including:
  • Ordering, inventory management, and receipt of lab supplies and operational materials.
  • Ensuring the lab is well-stocked and efficiently organized.
  • Maintain accurate lab records and document experimental processes.
  • Maintain and comply with health and safety procedures and prepare and revise related standard operating procedures

    Requirements:

    • An undergraduate degree or equivalent in Molecular Biology, Biomedical Science, Pharmaceutical Science, or a related field is essential.
    • At least 3-5 years of hands-on experience in in vitro transcription-based nucleic acid synthesis, purification, and encapsulation.
    • Experience with analytical techniques such as gel electrophoresis, capillary electrophoresis, PCR, qPCR, nanopore sequencing, or HPLC.
    • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills in a laboratory environment.
