Laboratory Research Technician I
This position is for the Division of Genetic and Genomic Medicine within the Department of Pediatrics. Equivalent relevant work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement. The position is located at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh in Lawrenceville. Prior to employment, PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, and a current TB test will be required. Performs laboratory testing and analysis on various specimen samples. Operates, sterilizes equipment, maintains inventory, and assists with ordering supplies.
Light physical activity including movement within the laboratory, handling mice, standing, and light lifting (e.g., supplies, tissue culture trays).
