Job summary

Bluebonnet Trails Community Services, located in Round Rock, TX, is seeking a qualified RN to perform professional nursing duties in a 10 bed Children's Therapeutic Respite Unit. Job description

This position performs professional nursing duties as assigned to a 10 bed Children’s Therapeutic Respite Unit. This nurse must possess strong knowledge of the principals, methods, and practices of working with children with a developmental, autism, and or mental health diagnosis.

Responsibilities

• Admission assessments, medication administration and monitoring, education regarding diagnosis, and providing RN delegation and training to support staff within the unit.
• Provide physical assessments and treatment planning as needed.
• Communicate with all program and medical treatment team to ensure continuity of care.
• Directed/supervised by the Director of Residential Nursing for clinical matters such as medications, pharmacy, injections, genetic testing, phlebotomy/laboratory matters and clinical assessments.
• Directed/supervised by the Center Director for administrative matters such as requesting time off, scheduling and office flow. Personnel concerns addressed in coordination by both the Director of Nursing and Center Director.

Location: Round Rock, TX

Differential Detail

• $1.00/hour, previous experience in a similar position
• Up to $4.00/hour - Tenure with BTCS
• $.75/hour - Bilingual

Minimum Qualifications

RN licensure with at least 2 years experience as a practicing RN.

Knowledge of mental illness.

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to speak, read, and write fluently in Spanish.
