Bluebonnet Trails Community MHMR Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to join The Diversion Center in a 4-bed, 23/48-hour behavioral health unit. You will perform professional nursing duties, triage on admission, administer meds, educate on diagnoses, and develop care plans with the treatment team.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing and licensed as a Registered Nurse in Texas.
• At least 2 years recent nursing experience in behavioral health and/or substance use nursing.
• Experience can be in inpatient, outpatient, or residential treatment settings.
• Ability to work collaboratively and be part of a multidisciplinary professional team.
• Computer literate with working knowledge of Windows/MS Office.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License and maintain approved driver’s status throughout employment.

Job description

The Diversion Center Registered Nurse (RN) performs professional nursing duties as the RN assigned in a 4 bed, 23 hour/48 hour behavioral health care unit and demonstrates strong knowledge of the principles, methods, and practices of working with individuals with psychiatric and mental health and or medical concerns. Responsibilities include nursing triage and assessment upon admission, medication administration and monitoring, education regarding diagnosis, providing RN delegation and training to support staff within the center. The RN will assess and complete nursing care plans and will communicate findings with the treatment team.

The Diversion Center RN communicates effectively with diverse cultures and socio-economic populations. Tasks and documentation of services are provided in accordance with accepted legal and ethical nursing standards.

The RN will work a 12-hour day shift with rotating weekends with the ability to create their own block schedule. The RN will be directed/supervised by the Director of Nursing for clinical matters such as, but not limited to, medications, pharmacy, injections, genetic testing, phlebotomy/laboratory matters and clinical assessments. The RN will be directed/supervised by the Program Manager for administrative matters such as, but not limited to, requesting time off, scheduling and office flow.

Hourly Salary Range: $45.39 – $51.64

• $1.00 per hour – 2 years previous experience
• Up to $4.00 per hour – Tenure with BTCS
• $0.75 per hour – Bilingual
• $0.50 – LCDC Licensure

Credentials Minimum Qualifications
