Qualifications

• Current RN license active and in good standing.
• Experience in wound care or related clinical specialty preferred.
• Wound care certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Knowledge of wound assessment, treatment modalities, and pressure injury prevention.

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive wound assessments: evaluate and document wounds, pressure injuries, ostomies, and other skin integrity concerns.
• Treatment management: provide evidence-based wound care treatments, dressing selection, and therapeutic interventions to promote healing.
• Patient and family education: educate patients and caregivers on wound prevention, treatment plans, nutrition, and self-care techniques.
• Clinical consultation: serve as a wound care resource for nursing staff and providers regarding best practices.
• Interdisciplinary collaboration: work with physicians, therapists, dietitians, and nursing staff to coordinate care.
• Prevention initiatives: lead and support pressure injury prevention programs and skin care initiatives.
• Documentation and compliance: ensure timely, accurate documentation and regulatory adherence.

Your Role As a Wound Care Nurse

• Documentation & Compliance: Ensure timely, accurate documentation and adherence to regulatory standards, policies, and evidence-based guidelines.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
